The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) program is a multi-tiered chemistry competition for high school students. ACS has sponsored the program since 1984. Students will meet once a month to learn/review chemistry content and then compete in the national exam in the spring.

A supportive community space for students to hone the craft of creative writing, whether it's poetry, fiction, or screenwriting.

>Economics Club is an activity partnered with Youth Economics Initiative, a national 501(c)3 organization, intended for students interested in economic education and competition. Education workshops, interactive games, and competition workshops will be hosted to ensure members are gaining the economic knowledge necessary for their competition and their future.

The French Club is an active, enthusiastic group of students who enjoy French and cultural activities related to the language. We promote the French language and Francophone culture through social and service activities. Activities can include: Sampling foods from francophone countries/francophone francophone film viewing at school and other opportunities as available. Members need not be students of French, but some activities may require a basic understanding of French. The French Club meets roughly once monthly in order to experience the culture of France and other French speaking countries outside the classroom, and to provide an opportunity for socialization to students with similar interests. We are a student-led organization that promotes interest in the German language and fosters understanding of German-speaking cultures. German Club is open to any student enrolled at South Forsyth High School. Our aim is to provide students with fun, authentic experiences with German culture. Whether you are enrolled in South Forsyth’s award-winning German program or just someone who wants to experience German culture right here in Forsyth County, our German Club is the place for you.

We compete in the Georgia State Mock Trial Competition run by the Georgia Bar. We work from October through January to prepare a case which we then try in a courtroom against another school's team. We also work with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office to help train new officers in courtroom procedure.

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees.

The Optimist Club Oratorical Contest "is designed for youth to gain experience in public speaking, perfect self-expression, gain self-assurance, improve communication skills, and provide them with the opportunity to compete for a college scholarship" (Optimist International).

The SFHS Math Team strives for its members to learn competitive mathematics topics in addition to developing competition strategies that will ensure success. SFHS Math Team members compete both as a team and as individuals. The Math Team welcomes all who wish to participate. No tryouts needed.

The Forensic Science Club is an engaging and interactive group for high school students passionate about the science behind crime scene investigation. Members explore various forensic disciplines, including fingerprint analysis, DNA profiling, ballistics, and toxicology. Through hands-on activities, guest speakers, and field trips, students gain practical skills and insights into real-world applications of forensic science. The club fosters teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving as members work collaboratively on mock crime scenes and case studies. Join us to uncover the mysteries of science and justice while preparing for potential careers in law enforcement, forensic science, and criminal justice!
