I’m so excited to begin my first year at South Forsyth High School! This school truly reflects the dedication and teamwork that make our community such a special place. I’ve spent over 20 years in education, serving as a Social Studies teacher, department chair, head football coach, and Assistant Principal. I am excited to get to know all the amazing students and staff at South Forsyth and to help everyone work toward their goals and dreams. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my wife Julie—my high school sweetheart and partner of 25 years—and our two awesome kids, Nova and Hadley.

As I begin my 28th year in education, I am more excited than ever to serve our students, staff, and community here at South. In my last eleven years at South, I have served as an English teacher, English Department Head, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Administrator. Before coming to SFHS, I worked in another district as an English teacher, Special Education teacher, and Special Education Department Head. My undergraduate degree is in Communication Disorders from Auburn University (War Eagle!). I earned my Master's in Secondary Ed/Special Education from UNG; my Education Specialist degree is in Curriculum & Instruction from Piedmont University (where I also completed additional certification in leadership).

We are committed to ensuring all students learn at South, and I am thankful for the opportunity to help lead such an important endeavor.

Before stepping into the role of Assistant Administrator, I served as an Instructional Coach at South for two years and previously taught Social Studies. Across all roles, my passion has remained the same — building relationships that help students thrive both academically and personally. I believe the most meaningful growth happens when students are empowered, when their voices matter, and when they are surrounded by adults who champion their success. I am thrilled to continue serving the South community in this new capacity. South isn’t just a school — it’s a family, and I’m honored to help lead with heart, purpose, and a commitment to every student’s journey.
