AP Testing Information

2026 AP Exam  Information

AP Exams will be administered in the Arena & Silver Gym

Morning Exams: Arrive by 7:30 am

Afternoon Exams: Arrive by 11:30am

*If you have testing accommodation, you will report to the West Hall offices at your test time.

Testing accommodations should have already been approved by College Board.  SFHS can only allow accommodations that have been approved by College Board for AP exams. 

*If you are late for your exam, you may be unable to test

Be sure to check Total Registration for your testing location & time for each exam.

Test Day Expectations:

• Be at your testing location ON TIME
• Make sure you have your CHARGED CHROMEBOOK
• Don’t forget to bring your IDENTIFICATION
• Make sure you do NOT have any of the prohibited items!
  • This includes unauthorized computers, cell/smart phones, headphones, wearable technology, car keys, purses, etc.
• You will wait outside the gym to be checked in
• You will be checked for unauthorized items before you are allowed to enter the testing area
• Once you are let into the testing room
  • Leave your food/drink in the designated area
  • Find your seat quickly, then sit and wait for instructions
• Once testing begins, there is NO TALKING!
• Follow ALL proctor instructions, including labels, filling out test information, bathroom & break procedures, etc.
• There is NO talking about the exam immediately after per College Board Policy
• School-issued Chromebook FULLY CHARGED
  • If you forget your Chromebook or don’t charge it, it could prevent you from testing
  • DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECK THAT IT IS CHARGED!!!!!!!
  • You must use your school-issued Chromebook for AP exams; personal devices are not allowed per the FCS Distraction Free Environment Policy.
• Approved ID
• Acceptable forms of identification include:
  • Driver’s License
  • Passport
  • School-Issued Student ID
  • If you do not have any of these items, you can go see Ms. Kaur in the East Hall Office for an alternate form of identification
• Pencil & Pen
• Approved Calculator (for select exams)
• Water & Light Snack (see food & drink slide for more info)

Prohibited Items:

• Unauthorized Computers
• Cell Phones & Smart Phones
• Wearable Technology
• Smart Watches
• Smart Glasses
• Headphones & Airpods
• Bluetooth Devices
• Recording Devices
• Cameras
• Electronic Writing Instruments
• Backpacks, Purses, Pencil Pouches, Lunchboxes, Tote Bags, etc.
  • Only a CLEAR ziplock bag containing approved items will be allowed
• Books, Notebooks, Paper
• White-out, Highlighters
• Mechanical Pencils, Colored Pencils
• Hats & Hoods
• Watches that make noise
• You are allowed to bring a water bottle and a light snack to your exam.
• You will need to put it in the designated area in your testing location away from testing
• Lunchboxes are prohibited but you may use a clear ziplock bag if necessary
• You may only eat/drink these items in the designated area during the quick break

Technology Check

• Make sure you have your College Board Username AND Password memorized
  • Test yourself by logging in from memory prior to exam day!
• Make sure any two-factor authentication is OFF
  • You will not be able to check your phone/email for the verification code to log in
• Please bring a school-issued FULLY CHARGED Chromebook. We CANNOT guarantee charging stations or loaner devices will be available.

You are required to do a Bluebook readiness check before testing.

• Open your Chromebook
  • Do NOT sign in--Do NOT put in your password.
• Click on Apps
  • If you do NOT have the Apps button, bring your device to East or West Commons ASAP
  • Select Bluebook
• On the top right, click “Test Your Device.”
  • You should get 3 green checks
• Show your AP teacher so they can check off your device
• If this does not work:
• Do a hard restart/shutdown of the Chromebook
• Try the steps again
• If you still don’t get “device meets the requirements” or cannot access Bluebook after this, you need to take your Chromebook to Ms. McGinley (West Hall Commons) or Ms. Graham (East Hall Commons)
• Senior Chromebooks are due on May 8th
• You will be provided a device for the 2nd week of AP testing at the testing location each day.
• If you are taking AP Macro on Friday, May 8th, you will turn in your device at the conclusion of your testing session.
